“Reena was the keynote speaker at our Doctor of Physical Therapy Capstone Ceremony at Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles. She shared the journey she and her son have taken navigating cerebral palsy while embracing a full and joyful life, delivering a message that immediately connected with our students and faculty. She infused her storytelling with hope, positivity, optimism, and realism, drawing from her lived experience and unwavering advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Reena inspired the room with a powerful testament to what's possible when love drives action, fueled by perseverance and patience.
Her message emphasized the critical role of inclusive care and the importance of centering the family voice in clinical practice. She thoughtfully aligned her message with our program's inclusion, compassion, and service core values.
