LA:RISE: Strategic Planning for Inclusive Employment and Systems Change

The Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise (LA:RISE) is a nationally recognized public-private partnership connecting individuals facing employment barriers—such as homelessness or justice involvement—to paid work, supportive services, and long-term career pathways.

As the program lead managing a multimillion-dollar portfolio and a cross-sector network of partners, Reena oversaw strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and implementation support. She worked closely with public agencies, service providers, and social enterprises to align priorities, strengthen coordination, and improve the delivery of services in practice.

Reena also directed LA:RISE’s 10th Anniversary Commemoration, convening more than 250 leaders from government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector. Her role included agenda development, messaging alignment, stakeholder engagement, and program design—resulting in a milestone event that reinforced LA:RISE’s position as a national model for inclusive workforce development.
