LA:RISE - Strategic Planning for Inclusive Employment and Systems Change
The Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise (LA:RISE) is a nationally recognized public-private partnership that connects individuals with employment barriers—such as homelessness or justice involvement—to paid work, supportive services, and long-term career pathways. Since its inception, LA:RISE has supported over 9,500 Angelenos in achieving economic stability.
As the program lead managing a multimillion-dollar portfolio and a dedicated team, Reena oversaw strategic planning and stakeholder coordination. Together, they aligned efforts across 39 partners—including Chrysalis, Homeboy Industries, Downtown Women’s Center, the LGBT Center, and LA Conservation Corps—to strengthen service delivery, expand access, and foster public-community collaboration.
Reena also directed LA:RISE’s 10th Anniversary Commemoration, working alongside colleagues to convene 250+ leaders from government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector. As the team lead, she oversaw messaging alignment, stakeholder engagement, and program design—resulting in a milestone event that celebrated impact, honored partnerships, and reinforced LA:RISE’s status as a national model for inclusive workforce development.
